Job Description Summary

Chicago State University College of Pharmacy (CSU-COP) invites applications for the following faculty position. The successful applicant will serve as part of a multidisciplinary team with the opportunity to participate in the continued growth and development of the college of pharmacy. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

A non-tenure track, calendar year faculty position with a focus on Informatics is available in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Candidates with an expertise in inpatient clinical therapeutics and informatics are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include establishing an informatics practice in a local hospital system, and didactic teaching in the areas of informatics and other areas as appropriate. Additional responsibilities include precepting students and conducting collaborative research. Responsibilities also include participation in the service missions of the college.
All candidates should exhibit strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. In addition, a commitment to student-centered education and demonstrable promotion and enhancement of diversity is required.

The preferred candidate will have a Pharm.D. with advanced residency and/or fellowship training and a minimum of one year practice experience or the equivalent, the ability to develop an innovative pharmacy practice related to informatics and conduct collaborative research, evidence of teaching experience and be eligible for Illinois state licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with health care or pharmacy administration and/or formal training in health informatics.
