Job Summary

The Project Coordinator reviews, analyzes, supports, and evaluates business systems, processes and user needs. Conducts preliminary project reviews with internal customers to determine scope and need for project prioritization. Performs and participates in the analysis, design and implementation of business systems following appropriate standards and requirement gathering. Conducts tests or test planning sessions, provides input for feasibility and prepares user/technical documentation and follow-up evaluation. Facilitates and provides software training as required. Acts as a liaison with business unit management and staff to resolve problems and improve processes or systems.

Job Description
  • Responsible for successful delivery of high quality application support services for customers working with the Banner Financial * Aid and/or Student module, specifically Student Records.
  • Provides project management, leadership, needs assessment, integration services and develops a strong working relationship with the client.
  • Facilitates the client’s use of Banner Financial Aid and Student modules in production support and upgrades of the software.
  • Facilitates business process review and provides business process analysis and insight into best practice methodologies.
  • Provides quality end-user consultation and support.
  • Maintains all tracking and issue logging.
    Evaluates and adjusts where appropriate, the Banner setup tables relative to the client business practices.
  • Provides sufficient business process and change management documentation.
  • Provides leadership for functional work groups enabling them to stay on time and on task.
  • Prepares functional/technical specifications for reporting, interfaces and customizations.
    Provides guidance in the formulation and coordination of an end-user training strategy, and when appropriate, deliver such training.
  • Provides direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts for utilization during upgrades and patch application.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Accounting or related field;

3-5 years experience providing support, documentation, testing, and systems analysis for enterprise-level applications.

In lieu of education, experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong desktop automation skills including effective use of e-mail, word processors, spreadsheets and the ability to use tools in conjunction with databases. In addition, knowledge of relational database reporting tools including PL/SQL, Toad, Crystal Reports, Cognos or Microsoft Access.

Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors and the public are required.

Ability to work closely with team members.
Must be a team-oriented person.
