Job Description Summary

1. Assistant Professor – Developmental Biology/Human Anatomy: Successful candidate is expected to teach Human Anatomy classes to Biology and Occupational Therapy majors, contribute to Anatomy & Physiology courses for nursing students and develop an advanced undergraduate and/or a graduate course in their area of expertise. [S]he will be expected to develop a productive and externally funded research program, mentor master’s level and undergraduate research students, and will be in-charge of the Cadaver lab.

2. Assistant Professor- Ecology and Environmental Biology: Teaching duties include Junior Level courses in Ecology and Botany; teaching of freshman or non-major biology courses if needed; develop a Senior Environmental Biology and/or Capstone course and an advanced graduate course in their area of expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a productive and externally funded research program and mentor master’s level and undergraduate research students and may be asked to oversee the CSU Prairie Gardens.

3. Assistant Professor- Bioinformatics: The successful candidate is expected to develop a Senior/graduate level course in Bioinformatics, and should be able to teach Biometrics/Statistics, and either Cell Biology or Microbiology ; teach freshman or non-major biology courses if needed. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a productive and externally funded research program and mentor Master’s level as well as undergraduate research students.

Required Education

All the three positions require a Ph. D. in the field mentioned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be proficient in latest technologies and techniques in their research field

Preferred Qualifications

At least two years of Post-Doctoral experience at a US institution is preferred.
